"The Clearing" by Clara olde Heuvel

While in the woods
When walking on my own

I hear the birds singing
I hear them loud and clear
Especially the woodpecker
I quietly listen and count the seconds that are between
the trees pecked

I see paths
that are untaken

They call me
They want to be wandered and seen

These unknown paths
I take in the woods
are like the unknown corridors in life

If not wandered
We would not be where we are now

Adventure or risk
Someone would call it

I mainly call it curiosity
Curiosity for getting to know what lies ahead, whats’s next

By being curious I found
This wide open empty spot filled with yellow reed and green grass
no trees to see

A spot through which the sun could shine tremendously

I called it :

“The Clearing”

lied down in the grass

and relaxed…
