ONE EX-SOLDIER'S VIEW OF THE BIGGEST CON IN HISTORY
David Hands
The experience of positive disciplined military training is not something which is now readily available to the vast majority of people in the UK, or for that matter, anywhere else. I consider myself fortunate that I am one of that select group who have ‘got that t-shirt’ even though I didn’t achieve what I wanted to within the various ‘firms’ I was associated with.
One of the things one gains from the experience of soldiering, if one is willing to learn, is a high regard for the truth and a disdain for dishonesty. The past 12 months have shown me the value of this experience and I shall endeavour to share some of it through this article.
2020 in the UK was predominantly focussed on Covid 19 (C19) and as we move into 2021 there’s a question which I believe is in the minds of many people in various forms;
How far is this going to go?
The recent news that C19 had mutated into something else raised the question to a point which said to me how fast can this mutate? Medical science will always be reacting to circumstances and consequently will always be behind the curve.
As a professional soldier I learned not to focus on the problem but to look for the solution. Medical science is focussed on the problem, the scientists are trying to create a solution from what they know about the problem and any solution derived from their efforts will create future problems.
Albert Einstein, the great 20th century physicist, said something like this … the problems we have today are a result of the solutions we used yesterday.
He also said that we cannot solve problems at the level of thinking at which they occur. We have to move to a higher level to see the solution.
That, in a nutshell, is the problem.
Moving to the higher level requires courage. In writing this I am moving to a higher level. For years I’ve known I have the ability to see solutions where other people only see problems. I’ve also known that I can write well but I haven’t had the courage to make my abilities widely known.
Looking back at my military experience I saw that this was, to use the technical military term, bullshit. It means putting a high gloss on something to cover the defects and therefore deceive others into believing things are ok. In my case the person I was deceiving was me. I needed to use my abilities to tell others how to solve problems.
Who, me?
Yes, you.
OK, I’ll be a good boy and do as I’m told. My wife would say, “That’ll be a first”.
So if focussing on the problem of C19 is not going to provide a viable solution what will?
I’m going to go straight to the heart of the situation, cutting right through the bullshit of masks, social distancing, rule of 6, vaccines and all the other nonsense and I know that a lot of people are not going to like this. Nevertheless, knowing the value of real truth as opposed to relative truth I feel driven to put my thoughts into words.
The best defence against things like C19 is a high level of self esteem and a profound understanding of the reality of God as being in control of the universe.
As I said that will upset a considerable number of people who want to believe God does not exist.
Does it mean going to church, listening to people waffling on about stuff they know little or nothing about? No, that probably wouldn’t help, at least it wouldn’t help me.
What then would work?
What has worked for me is the understanding that there is a power greater than the most intelligent of men. It isn’t just the acknowledgement of this greater power but a willingness to allow that power to influence my life. For instance, it was suggested to me that I might like to contribute to this blog. I resisted this idea for months until, in mid-December 2020, I was shown in a dream what would happen to me if I persisted in not using my abilities.
Interestingly, when I did start writing I focussed on the things which didn’t work and the text just didn’t seem to gel for me. I had to ask about my focus and consider I was being less than I am capable of.
Like many people of various religions I’ve known about the existence of God for several decades. I hadn’t seen how to use that knowledge and I’d come to the conclusion that religion on its own was not just useless but actually dangerous because it would prevent people from gaining the willingness to allow God to influence them.
Each of us has something we are good at. Some people have many things. Focussing on knowing what those things are and using them appropriately is one way of allowing the influence of God.
The influence of God permeates all religion in as far as religion allows. Some restrict the choice of individuals and prescribe behaviour and dress even to the point of telling a person what they can think. That kind of restriction facilitates the activity of someone called Lucifer.
Some people acknowledge the idea of God but don’t understand there has to be a balance in the universe. The balance is provided by someone called Lucifer. That’s his name. The other things he’s called like Satan, the devil etc are rather like your job title or your role referring to you as a person. His purpose is to dissuade you from doing your best in whatever you do and very subtly cause you to feel afraid, to feel that you’re not good enough, to feel that you can’t be the kind of person you want to be.
Sadly, far too many of our leaders, particularly our political leaders, have developed a level of fear which prevents them from being the outstanding individuals they could be. You can see this in the disunity they have between themselves, the social restrictions we’re supposed to abide by, which seem to change almost from day to day, and in the reliance on science to provide us with a way out of this mess so that we don’t have to take responsibility for it.
The choice is yours.
Follow the crowd in fear of what is going to happen and use science as your guide
or
choose to be your own man or woman and allow the influence of a power greater than science to guide you.
Just in case you’re wondering, each choice has consequences. The result of choosing to go with the crowd will be one of fear because C19 is a precursor to something many times worse.
The result of choosing to allow the influence of a power greater than science is a growing confidence in yourself and in God.
