eclipse

the sky 

shining brightly over the land the land of the free and the home of the brave

an eclipse draws my attention  shows me hope  Hope for a better future A more peaceful future A more content feeling inside

behind the clouds the sun shines brightly So bright... like a lightning bolt  we cant handle, can't control

the clouds start covering this brightness

This shimmering sun, 

this positivity 

this good stuff

this change we are all longing for


The clouds are like the past 

They always come in now and again


As the past always comes in the way of our present and future


It covers the brightness of what's happening now and what might happen in the future 


It lets us remember the wounds 

The suffering we went through 

The bad stuff we experienced 


We are afraid and anxious for the future

Because of the past 


We don't want to let it go

We are attached to it


It follows us as a shade 

It never lets us go


Until 


We become aware of it

And dive deeper into it

And take care of ourselves 


After a few seconds I can only see a 

small glimpse of this bright shining sun


It glistens 

And touches the river 

Causes a bright reverberation


And shines/shimmers on.
